Umesh Maurya (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the CircleKeep mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle the information you provide while using our app.

1. Local-First Architecture (On-Device Storage)

CircleKeep is designed as a local-first application. All personal data you enter into the app—including friend names, family details, contact information, photos, and notes—is stored locally on your device in a private database.

• We do not operate any backend servers to store your personal contact data.
• We do not have access to, nor do we collect, the information you store within the app.
• You are responsible for managing your own data backups using the “Export” feature provided in the app.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

To facilitate app functionality, improve our services, and serve advertisements, we use third-party services that may collect specific technical data.

A. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to show advertisements. Google may collect and use certain identifiers (such as the iOS Advertising Identifier - IDFA) to personalize ads and measure their performance.

B. In-App Purchases (Apple/Google Billing)

If you choose to purchase the “Pro Upgrade,” your payment transaction is handled securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

• We do not collect or store your financial information (credit card numbers, etc.).
• We only receive a confirmation from the store that a purchase was successful to unlock the relevant features in your app.

C. Diagnostics and Analytics

We may receive anonymized technical data, such as crash logs or performance metrics, provided by the operating system (iOS/Android) or our partners to help us fix bugs and improve app stability.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all your personal data is stored locally on your device:

• Deletion: You can delete all your data at any time by using the “Delete All Records” feature (in supported builds) or by uninstalling the application.
• Backups: If you use the “Export” feature, the resulting file is under your control. We do not store copies of these files.

4. Children’s Privacy

CircleKeep is a general audience utility app and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top.
